Wisconsin Surgical Society Annual Meeting

Friday, November 6 from 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

We are excited to announce the SCW will be providing an update at the Wisconsin Surgical Society virtual meeting. SCW Director and Program Director of the WSS Annual Meeting, Elise Lawson, MD, will provide a short update to the group followed by a brief discussion of the new performance reports by Jessica Schumacher, PhD, Director of Data Management and Analytics. We will close our session with some additional information regarding the new Learning Management System that will be launching this Fall.

Our SCW session is just a portion of the larger WSS meeting that includes abstract presentations, updates from both the WSS President, Brian Lewis, MD, FACS, and ACS President J. Wayne Meredith, MD, FACS, and a special afternoon session titled “Enhanced Recovery for All: Standardizing Care for Optimal Postoperative Outcomes.” The session will feature seven presenters from varying specialties and institutions including general surgery, colorectal surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, acute care, trauma/critical care, and anesthesiology. SCW Executive Committee member, Neel Karne, MD, will be presenting during this session on multimodal pain management and opioid prescribing.
